Cultural Education

One of the primary purposes of ISKCON is to propagate spiritual and cultural knowledge to society at large and to educate all people in relevant techniques to check the imbalance of values in life and to achieve real unity and peace in the world. Towards achieving this objective, ISKCON Mysore is conducting a lot of activities for children, specifically aimed at enhancing values and life skills in them through culture- related activities.

Culture Camp

A refreshing summer camp conducted during the months of April and May for 21 days, wherein children are trained in various performing arts (any one of their choice) and life skills. Children finally showcase what talent they have acquired during those 21 days on stage in an event called the Talents Day.

Sri Krishna Contest

A state-level written test conducted for government and private school students from class 5 to class 10 based on their study of existing books on Krishna conscious subject matter.

Goloka Shades, a colouring competition is conducted for children below class 5.

Heritage Fest

Heritage Fest is a convergence of cultural contests celebrating India’s vibrant culture and tradition. It is intended to provide a unique opportunity to the students to participate in different cultural events and contests like classical dance, coloring, drama, dance drama, reciting the Gita, Vedic quiz and vocal music to name a few.
